how do you fit all of this in you gig bag?

I have 2 bags. My gig bag w/ both of my basses and a second bag with the other stuff. It's a NBC messenger bag my brother got me. Perfect size for what I need.

9 volts ( as many as will fit in the bag!!)

You can also glue your guitarists picks to his mikestand for some extra fun!

i keep extra an power strip , two sets of used bass strings , pliers and wire strippers , small flashlight , extra mic cords , microphone , 9 volt batteries , bass stand , and some super glue ... also found it handy to keep a notebook for names and addresses

i don't have an actual gig bag , i store all my stuff in a tupperware box , 18"wide x 24"long . { makes it easy to stack and roll with my amp }

Great thread!I keep the normal tuner,cables,extra strings,etc,but never thought of tools.I gotta get some in my bag-I got like 100 screwdrivers at home and at a gig I'd be kicking myself for not having one.

Bass is normally in a hardcase with strap, cable, tuning fork (for when people ask me for a tuner).

Messenger bag with music to practice while I'm sitting around, surge protector, various cable adapters.

I'm trying to put together a "Gig Bag" to try and have all the stuff I'll need to cover most of those eventualities we know will happen but just can't predict.

So far I have a spare set of strings (as well as a spare bass), wire cutters, Duct tape, a small towel, a 9v battery (or two), a tuner, a spare instrument cable.

what do/would you guys put in?

baby night light x2 (for gigs with darkened stage)
RCB or RCD (for gigs with dodgey power)

Clothes pegs is a good one - my other "must-haves" apart from what is mentioned so far, are - a music stand and a long extension cable - for the power - there's never a wall socket near where I end up setting up my amp!!

i call it the 'magic bag'. some tools (screwdriver, big & small, crosshead, 1 each, tongs), not too much. duct tape, spare strings (old ones), spare instrument-cable, 9v battery, spare strap, pen, small flashlight, a towel, deodorant, ear plugs (yes, we suck).
