I have a friend that does it for a hobby so I asked him to relic this Squire Affinity Jazz bass for me.

1. Affinity Jazz body
2. E Bay neck and tuners
3. Fake decal
3. Aged bridge and tuners
4. Fender 62 neck pup
5. Symore Duncan Vintage Jazz bridge pup
6. LaBella flats

All she needs is to go to my tech for wiring and setup and she will be ready to rock

I know it don't look authentic, but it is good enough for a rough bar where I don't want to bring any of my nice ones, because I do try and take care of my guitars. However I am into it for all of $120.00 so it don't really bother me. Now I have a machine that I can use to really get my frustrations out. In the past I have thrown a $1000.00 bass across the room because I got mad, then obviously felt bad about it after. With this thing it won't bother me if it gets chunks taken out of the body etc...

That counterfeit does not look great. Your buddy could really stand to improve his work.

I am not trying to put the bass down just trying to impart some advice to your friend who presumably enjoys doing this.

No offense, but that looks completely fake. It's possible for a real artist to fake wear, though IMHO it always looks cheesy, like a "distressed" piece of furniture with fake paint, fake worm holes, fake dings, etc. I like my relic'g the old fashioned way: Play the instrument for years and years.

I agree to an extent. I like the relic/used look. Adds some character. However, it makes me look forward to what my Jazz will look like in 40 years. I want to create my own "mojo"
