    Mesa M9 Carbine Power Reduced?

I own an M9 and think its the best sounding amp I have ever owned. I will admit that I am biased toward amps with a high wattage rating (the M9 replaced a B1500 that blew up). I'm not sure I would have bought an amp with an advertised output of 600W. However, make no mistake, this amp is super...

    Carvin B1500 club

I bought a B1500 through guitar center also in another state. They did a crappy job of packing it but it still arrived in one pice. I am very glad I bought the pro plan because about 4 months into using it every week in a loud rock band it died. I sent it to the repair center per the terms of...

Using two cabs: one 8 ohms, the other 4 with a Carvin B1500

I used a phone app to measure the SPL. Maybe its not the most accurate. I have ran it side by side with a real meter at a venue and they appeared to agree.

Using two cabs: one 8 ohms, the other 4 with a Carvin B1500

Thanks for the advise everyone! I appreciate everyone's feedback. The 18 is a Carvin BRX18 (8) rated at 800W. I also have an Ampeg PR410HLF (4) which is rated at 600W (1200 peak). I used them together last night. It sounds like they are probably in phase because combined they are much louder...

Using two cabs: one 8 ohms, the other 4 with a Carvin B1500

Can you wise folks here on talkbass enlighten me! I have a Carvin B1500 head which is a "mono block" head (one power supply). I also have a 4 ohm 4x10 and an 8ohm 1x18. Can I use both cabs with this head? If so, should I run each off the head or should I chain them together? Thanks!

    Need recomendation for voltage regulator

I would also like to point out that I have never seen it operate at incoming voltages below 115. It would only be able to boost an incoming voltage by 5 volts. I imagine that it would be very expensive to get a VR that would turn a steady 100V input into a constant 120V.

    Need recomendation for voltage regulator

My voltage regulator (APC H15) continuously boosts/ trims voltage. It also has a display to show the incoming and outgoing voltage. It cost about $300.

    Need recomendation for voltage regulator

The triplite and APC regulators function as designed. The more expensive voltage regulators (furman) have a tighter tolerances (+/- 5 volts). Even the inexpensive voltage regulators can step up voltage (through the use of capacitors).

    Acoustic Amps

Problem solved: I bought a used ampeg pr410hlf. Now I'll use the acoustic 410 at home for practice and rehearse and perform with the Ampeg.

    Acoustic Amps

Thanks for the reply cl400Peavy. I'm not stuck on the avitar, it just seems like a nice option. I'm not dissatisfied with the b600h. I just need to get a little more out of it.
