I really can't believe this hasn't been said yet, but rondomusic.com has some basses that are push/pull. My Brice HXB-405 fretless is that way and it only cost me $280 and I am VERY satisfied with it.

How would you describe the sounds available from these basses? How do they compare to other basses made in Korea in this price range? Brice or Agile etc. Is there a possibility that you could post any soundbites/videos? I would love to hear those things!

So I've got a Squire Affinity P, and I'm currently looking to buy replacement black tuners. Will the Mighty Mite's fit with no adjustments? And where can I get a perfect fitting black pickguard?

This looks like its going to be one sweet Jazz bass. I'm really digging your choice to use local woods, and that top is beautiful! can't wait to see (and hear?) the finished product!

10 years I've been playin on a fretted trying to imitate the smoothness and tone i can achieve on an upright, and now I finally have a fretless. And a 5er at that. I never would have thought. Its a Brice HXB 405 Fretless with the spalted maple finish. I love the tone and the feel of the flats...

I just got my HXB-405 Fretless today! :hyper: I love this thing. The TI jazz flats aren't half bad and remind me of the feel and sound of some old worn upright strings I've played. A little "thud-ier" than I was expecting, but they sure feel smooth. I'm thinking about changing the string out...

I know I'm coming into this thread a little late, and no I don't own (or like the body style of) a CT. But HOLY CRAP this fingerboard is amazing! While his designs don't cater to my personal taste i can definitely respect and appreciate his work.

That finish looks pretty awesome. I can't wait to see it with a burst. I especially love cherry-bursts.

Choosing the bass that is right for you is a very personal thing. But if I may add my thoughts I would recommend the RBX 370. I often play on a friend's RBX 270J and really enjoy it. The 370 is the active version of the 270 (hence the bigger number, right?) and I can assure that these are great...

wow. wow. Putting aside what year/era this bass is from this thing still looks incredible.

Man this bass looks amazing! I can't wait to see it's brother! I really dig that bridge on the the first finish. Was that a permanent bridge, or just a placeholder of sorts? That body design is a little out there.... but I dig it!
