    Natural Finish (How to)

Thanks for all of the replies. I appreciate it. I took the paint off and I've set it up and left it alone. I'm just playing on the bare wood because I dig it. I know some people will hate it but I'm into it.

    Natural Finish (How to)

Thanks man I love it! Because I took the paint off and I've set it up and just left it. I dig the way it looks just bare wood.

When is your bass "good enough"?

I ordered it from warmoth and it came cut in that position so I just routed the spot to fit it.

    Natural Finish (How to)

Does anyone have a good "how to", links or pdf etc. on how to get a natural finish? I'm not even really sure what to use. I love the look of the 70's stratocaster. I've seen some tutorials using tru-oil and boiled linseed oil and those seems to have more of an orangish tint to them. Does anyone...

When is your bass "good enough"?

Beautiful! Great work my man. I love the way your bass looks and secondly I love the P-J Combo. I modded a cheap MIM Jazz bass to a P-J. I mod my basses depending on what each bass needs. I start with a simple good clean set-up and go from there. I like to put Seymour Duncans 3/4 pounds in my...

Why is Leo Fender (and not Paul Tutmarc) considered "the Father of the Bass Guitar?"

Other posts give the best answers to your question. I love questions like this. I think history remembers, and gives credit to, the most adopted, popular, and successful inventions and inventors. Leo gets credit for inventing the electric bass the same way Thomas Edison gets credit for inventing...

Professional bassists/musicians who choose to use cheap gear?

William David Simms from the Jesus Lizard has played a Memphis Bass for years. Joe Dart from Vulfpeck plays lots of Squires and other cheap basses.

    New Ibanez Talman

I agree 100% with you! They've come up with some really nice basses. I love this one and the ATK, and the artcores are nice too. I'm really digging the headstock shapes on this and the ATK. I would love to own either of them.

    New Ibanez Talman

I really dig this bass. I would love to play one to check it out. I think a short scale version of this bass would be rad.

Anyone Play a Schecter Model-T Bass?

Super cool thanks that's exactly what I was wondering about.

Anyone Play a Schecter Model-T Bass?

Anyone that plays a Schecter Model T out there ever remove the pick guard? Is there anything under it? Just wondering, these look like really nice basses for the price. Thanks. Invalid Link Removed

    Fender question

There are a lot of different Fender's that could fit your bill. I bought a MIM Jazz bass and converted it to a P/J. Its not on the level yours is but I looked at it as a nice project to learn. Put a badass II with some seymour duncans on it and damn I love the P/J sound and I played straight P's...
