New Ibanez Talman

I've recently gotten into Eastwoods, I have the Sidejack Bass VI 30" E-E 6 string and a regular 12 string electric, both in black. Both way cool, very nice. Only thing, I think I'm going to replace the pickguards for tort on black, maybe black/gold sparkle.
Played one today. Incredibly impressed with the construction, tone, and finish. Usually not a fan of budget basses but haven't found a PJ I have dug (not that many are on the racks.)
I actually like the stacks, keeps it clean and was intuitive. The input jack was a plus. Somebody at the shop set it up nicely. It was a 100. For 200, great bass. I ordered a soda blue tmb300 off of MF for 249

Anyone else get one of these? I am starting to feel like I am the only one who got one that was flawless. Did I luck out? Am I less discerning? Did the other guys just get the bad apples?
@krovx I'd love to know how yours turns out. I know the soda blue is "Musicians Friend Family" exclusive. Mine came from WWBW, so I wonder if GC got the bunk shipment? (If thats even possible?)

TMB 300 in Soda Blue is on sale today at Musician's Friend for $249.
I didn't need to read that. Was about to order one until I noticed the Sires, now have an M3 and a V7 5 on the way, shouldn't be doing any more bass buying for a while, but.....
Received mine yesterday from GC online. Priced match and discounted for 244 before tax. Beautiful finish, nice neck. A tuner was broke off
The clover fell/snapped off of the post? Going to return. Actually was disappointed with the double J compared to the TM100. The 300 was better in terms of feel and look, but I preferred the sound of the 100. Might be apples and oranges. 100 was played through an Ampeg, 300 through my GK. Sad it was busted. Guess I am lucky that this is the first time I received something broken. Might just return instead of ask for a replacement.
These basses have not yet arrived in my home town, but I am looking forward to tying them out when they do. It is disconcerting that so many have had a bad experience so far, though.
Does make me more inclined to try one before buying rather than mail ordering (not that I have any business doing either just now). I really like these, though.
I really dig this bass. I would love to play one to check it out. I think a short scale version of this bass would be rad.
I agree 100% with you! They've come up with some really nice basses. I love this one and the ATK, and the artcores are nice too. I'm really digging the headstock shapes on this and the ATK. I would love to own either of them.
Got one today, went in for another Ibby, and walked out with both of them. The ASB180 is the closest thing to my old single pup Aria diamonds hollowbody for playing feel (the bridge pup has the same vibe as the single pup), I had been dying a CV Tele (blue), when I saw the Talman Muscle car... TMB300.
The neck binding, fretwork, and setup is flawless on both basses. While the 180 is minimalist control-wise, the Talman is full to the top. Took a few minutes to get the hang of the controls, but WOW. Just built (Feb 2015), and clearly Ibby has cleared up any QC issues.

Now that is very interesting.Whats the neck contour like? And are the electronics pretty quiet?

It's very quiet, until you split the bridge, when its panned fully to the bridge pup split, you have about as much hum as a standard J pup.
