What's coming and going XVIII: (We Don't Need) Rehab

I bought that big ass power supply from Thomann. Powerplant ISO12AC Modular. Shesh that thing is good. It is my third powersupply from that company (well it's thomann) and it just delivers. Price wise not to beat.

Anyone with more than one signal path?

I have been playing two signals for years at this point. Either with the pedalboard of with the Helix. Basically some effects, then split the signal and have their own dedicated signal chain. Two DI's out, two signals into the stereo poweramp into two different cabs. One signal is mainly a...

PYPB 44: ...like Tetris with boxes, wires and cables

I have been playing the Helix for several years now and since I don't have a band right now where I play bass (only one with the drums) I thought, well why not. This is the first take, did it 3am pretty far past a clear head and it worked right away lol. What are the odds...

Help needed: Deciding on what to build

Hi everyone, this is the - as far as building instruments goes - completely unexperienced Alex, who will spend a 3 week summer vacation in a guitar building course on a small island in the mediterranean sea :) The idea of this course is to build the instrument from scratch. Only the hardware...

    IR problem with bass response

Good evening everybody I wonder whether you have the same "problem". For a couple of years now I'm went directly to the board with an IR loader of some sort. It is so much easier, cleaner, faster than putting a mic in front of a cab. However, when trying out different IRs, it is overwhelming...

is the end of the replacement for multi-effects?

With the Helix I had for the first time the feeling of "that's gonna stay for quite some time". I don't know how long the unit will last, but when I see how people are still playing their Johnson J-Station at home... and that's a cheap looking plastic device and not sturdy at all.

    Broughton Audio Super Thread

Dude that escalated quickly... :roflmao: I was more thinking of putting three pedals in the loop and switching them on and off independently. However, I like your solution named "cause I can"

    Broughton Audio Super Thread

I just read into the Filter FX Loop and it does everything I'd want it to do. Bummer about the "out of stock"... Anyone using this particular device?

A balanced overdrive that cuts through?

Aren't warm and cutting through are kind of opposed to each other? The Beta is really dark and way to muddy for me. However, an EQ in front of it helped.

Neural DSP Quad Cortex on bass

I just can't have the main device at my feet. Until there is a rack version, I won't get it. However, I'm also watching closely ;)

    Quad Cortex - Neural DSP

Thomann Germany says 4 to 5 weeks from now. I'm seriously considering selling lots of pedals and going now completely digital. I use the helix rack and still have a small pedalboard for smaller gigs. However, these pedals are more of a hassle/struggle and also more spaceous than the quad cortex...

Wow, that rack looks absolutely tasty! The board too. Clean, nice choice of pedals.
