With the Helix I had for the first time the feeling of "that's gonna stay for quite some time". I don't know how long the unit will last, but when I see how people are still playing their Johnson J-Station at home... and that's a cheap looking plastic device and not sturdy at all.

Aren't warm and cutting through are kind of opposed to each other? The Beta is really dark and way to muddy for me. However, an EQ in front of it helped.

Thomann Germany says 4 to 5 weeks from now. I'm seriously considering selling lots of pedals and going now completely digital. I use the helix rack and still have a small pedalboard for smaller gigs. However, these pedals are more of a hassle/struggle and also more spaceous than the quad cortex...
