I don't own the Ibanez SR500 but I have played it. I love those basses and it is why I picked up a SR30th myself. Very light, very thin and slick neck. The added electronics is a plus too.

All I will say is "wow" what a difference his adjustments made to both basses. As soon as I saw them I could see a big change and when I played earlier tonight they both played awesome. Really low action is awesome.

I dropped off both my basses to him on Saturday morning and we chatted it up for a good while. He is a super cool dude and very knowledgeable. I think I could have hung out with him all day lol. He notified me today to let me know the work is done. I cannot wait to pick them up!

After calling around and getting prices recently the quotes for a basic setup I received were: $60 at one shop, $65 at another and $185 from yet another guy but this guy is a known name in the industry; works with famous people. I agree with Gluvhand to an extent. I do not want to do it myself...

Thanks pickles. I understand how to setup a bass. I've read how and also watched videos. I know I can do it myself. What I lack is the experience and the feel for setting a bass up. As a beginner bass player taking lessons I feel having a good tech such as the guy you suggested to do this for me...

If this is the wrong section to post this then please let me know. I spent awhile looking through the forum for a section that covers this sort of question and ended up here. I'm trying to find a good tech to setup two of my bass guitars. Looking through yelp provides just the local music...

Do you have a skill that some corporation would want you for? I think that is one way into the USA by getting sponsored. Its a long road to get into the USA now I would think. My wife is a perm. resident. She is from Trinidad. She never got her citizenship but is legally here.

I honestly do not remember as this was from 3 years ago or more. I just know that I loved it and nothing has beaten it for me since. I can say it was very smooth and flavorful. Not too sweet either.
