I recently celebrated my BDay by inviting bands I've played with over the last 30 years to reunite for a set at a club. I figured 2 or 3 would do it.. I ended up playing in 7 bands (one I played drums) and used a different Bass in each one. It was a lot of fun!

I kept my first bass ever, an Ibanez SR-205
I kept a Squier that has been subject of my experiments : pickups, bridges, strings, electronics. Every new idea to try, that poor Squier gets it.
And my instrument for playing in band, a Fender Classic 70.
I had for some time a Classic 60 but traded it at shop for a 70 because most people I go play with are more fond of rock and songs with slap and the 60.. they didnt like the mellow sound. It's quite hard to find people that want to play Motown songs like me

An Alembic Orion. Lovely sound, necks a bit long for my short arms though. Still on the original strings after 17 years and sounding sweeter than ever.
No pedals. Just fine through a Trace Elliot V6 and 4x12. Or any of about 6 lesser amps.
