I get to update my vote to 5 today! I now own:

Ibanez sr500 (4 string, first one i bought)
Ibanez AEB10E (acoustic 5 string)
Ibanez BTB1805 (5 string)
Frankenjazz 4 string, built myself and defretted (I can't play it for crap, but it's fun)
G&L SB-2 tribute (purchased today)

I was looking for a Fenderish P-bass, and after playing quite a few, I fell in love with the SB-2 Tribute. I even liked it better than the SB-2 American that I played.

Not sure if this helps.
1989 Ibanez RD707 Roadbass 4-String Bass, EMG Pickups, Magenta, Japan #29715
see items below the main listing.
Ibanez is known for occasionally making Japan Market only models

Thanks, but that is already the same design they used in the 90's, with the sharp horns, tilt-back head, and the truss-rod is accessible from the side of the neck. It's the newer model. Mine looks like this one: Invalid Link Removed
P in the front, Humbucking J in the back, with an active scoop filter/booster switch, the truss rod is accessible from a small cavity towards the bottom of the neck. Except mine was red, and now has a custom paintjob and EMGs.
They occasionally pop up for sale around 3-400 euros, and it's an amazing instrument. I only changed the PUs because my humbucker had some kind of a problem, with the A string being quieter then the rest. The EMGs fixed that problem.

Okay so it is actually an RB707, not RD! Found it searching for the 808, there's not much info out there about these and I still don't know which catalog this is from...

Only pic I have of both of my electrics together.
My number one is a 2015 Fender American Standard Precision Bass.
My backup/alternate tuning bass is an ESP LTD D4.

I have since updated my P bass with a Black Pickguard. (Always loved the black on black look)

And my acoustic is a Sonata that I acquired for next to nothing from a friend who just never played it... and it gets the job done around the campfire!

Aria Pro2, Peavey Milestone, Ibanez 300 and Ibanez 300e.
The Aria I have had since 1992. The others I have bought recently. The split P o the Aria has been upgraded to SD Steve Harris pick-ups and probably upgrade the Peavey too. After many years of not being able to play (New wife/New life) I'm slowly getting back into it. Rusty as hell. LOL!!!!! Looking at getting a Sterling Music Man Ray 34, a Schecter Stiletto Stage 4 or a Schecter Stiletto Stealth. Not sure yet.

'77 Vintage Fender Fretless P bass with maple board . All original. In almost new condition . A closet find for sure .

Nice! I've got a '78 I scored a few years back same deal. I don't play it all that much but when I do it's really a joy.
