56% white spirits (mineral spirits), 33% polyurethane varnish (satin for me) and 11% boiled linseed oil (real tung oil is said to be approved but many products labelled tung oil are pre-mixed). Worked very well for me!

Makes sense to me, thanks. Just ordering a replacement cts 250k audio log pot now. I have never wired a ground to bridge myself, the instruments I have made all have wooden bridges and bone saddles - cigar box guitar type stuff. No made a bass yet but of course it's on the bucket list.
