man, I'm not gonna lie, I think you have your priorities way out of whack. $65 for a set is u-bass strings is, quite frankly, shocking. that's Thomastik territory. obviously I don't know what model u-bass you have, but if it's a HB I strongly suspect it wasn't made all that sturdy to begin with...
