These are my and my brothers fearful 15/6/1 crossover low-mid at 625hz. Please give technical reasons why a multi 10 inch cabinet would sound any better?

this narrowing dispersion can be solved with a crossover to a smaller midwoofer; on stage this can help to hear the speaker when it is not beaming at your head

old school sound is easy to equalize from a crossover bascabinet like a Fearful; just cut midhigh frequencies

In general the answers are physically clear: - a bigger speaker favors the lowers range and it beams more / is more directive higher up which can be bad up stage close nearby - a smaller speaker has better dispersion but can't give deep lows as a 15 can combining 1x15 and a 4x10 isn't a really...

Oke you can also check me in! :) i have a 15/6/1 3015LF 4ND410 XD125 and it sounds very nice, but i need a heavier amp because my amps 2xucd400(3015LF)+ucd400(mid+xd125) single power supply (smps400) goes into protection when i play really too loud for rehearsals/stage. :eek:

active XO @ 625Hz 24dbLR 2x UCD400HG on 3015LF 1x UCD400HG on mid/high with passive XO This works quit good, I can plug my bass just inb or use my Ampeg preamp SVT Pro. I added a big heatsink for the amps got to warm with a pretty big heatsink attached I still think the amps get to warm...

are you guys using an octaver on your fearful? is it nice to use it? do you use it often? which one do you guys recommend? :confused:

I play a four string tobias basic, but it has never seen proper amplification yet in more than ten years.

i wonder what my bass sounds like now. sound is really dry now, very nice on music too sounds pretty good must be much better, i really like to play in my band now volume up, and give it a go after listening for some time and comparing bass is nice and growling, but voices sound a little...
