fEARful 15/6 Pictoral!

It's about 16 blue LED's mounted to the chassis of the 3015LF; they turn on with the inbuilt amp. Quit cool i think.
Grills are from Parts Express where I get most of the hardware for cab building, handles, corners, plates, speakon stuff, t nuts and black screws of various size.
Grills are simple and cheap, don't forget to order the mounting hardware. $100 order gets you free shipping.

You will get a better response in the main fEARful thread, or on greenboy's forums, but I will do my best here.
The original fEARful plans are free, any one can download them for personal use and build their own cab. Everything is laid out including cross over builds. The original goal was to supply a cabinet that would handle the extended range that greenboy was working with. The fEARful cabs will handle everything down to a low f. In the case of the 15/6, the drivers used are a 3015LF and a 18sound mid driver, with the option for a horn.
The fEARless 115 is slightly different. Form factor is a big difference. The cabs are slightly smaller, lighter, and have a kick back option. The price for the form change is the fEARless cabs dont go as low, *only* down to low A. Another big difference is that the fEARless line is only offered through a set of authorized builders, the plans are not available to the public. The 115 is based off of the same 3015LF driver, but it makes use of a 5" Faital Pro mid driver, and an optional horn. The neat thing about the whole fEARless line is that there is a switch that changes the cross over. One is a "traditional greenboy" sound, the other has been optimized for upright bass.

I really want to do a build. Thinking about investing in some tools vs. buying the pre-cut kits. It's a win win, really. I get more tools and the ability to make my own speaker cabs.

12/6 + sub, or a 15/6 are the leaders right now. Since a 15/6 will most likely cover most volume needs I'd say it's probably the front runner. But the 12/6 + 12 sub stack is also nice.
There are pro's and cons to each system, in terms of power handling, sensitivity, and impedance go. If you are building for yourself there are a few things to take into account.
One the Alpha mid driver is cheap. A pair is cheaper than one 18sound mids driver. So it is less expensive to build a pair of Alpha 12/6's, than a 12/6 + 12sub (as you would want to use the more powerful 18sound to keep up with a pair of woofers). This would also give you two stand alone cabs, ~1200 watts of power handling, and a 4 Ohm impedance. The benefit to the 15/6 is you are looking for a single cab solution, it will be more sensitive, and handle more power than a 12/6. It will be less expensive as you are only buying one woofer.
My prediction is if you go with one set up, you will GAS for the other. The bright side is you really cant go wrong.
In my mind if you want to go with two 3012LF based cabs, Alpha 12/6's are the way to go. Others may prefer different set ups for various reasons, but that would be my preference.
