These are so good. No longer the flavor of the month, but still the most underrated amp around, in my honest opinion. The MB800 has been around for years but no one has really beat its combination of power, tone, and portability.

So you're saying the noise emanates from the head itself, but is not amplified through the speakers? Do I understand that right? And have others experienced this?

Lots of posts here either forget the "mini" (one-trip load in with no dolly) or the "of doom" part (able to keep up with a loud rock band with drums). That D800+Super Compact rig actually delivers both, based on my experience with a MB800+Big BabyII rig. And I dig that bass too! I run a jazz...

Am I nuts, or does this bass have a slightly different headstock shape than a regular Sadowsky?

Pretty sure the Shuttle 6.0 has a HPF built in - as I recall one big difference in the 6.2 is a lower filter frequency than the earlier model.

Assuming you can't check these out at a GC (which you should), I have to agree with the TCE RS212 recommendation. The rumble 410 sounds great and may be slightly louder, but the 212 will be a much easier schlep and plenty of volume.
