I'm completing my first bass, (in the finishing stage) walnut and buckeye burl I do not what to go the poly route nor the lacquer route. what would be the steps in finishing my bass with oil? tru oil or tung oil? and would that be a wise choose? any help :help: will be great. thank you -Pete

Would 6 aa batteries work the same as one 9 volt in a bass? Something different

I'm assembling my 1st bass, and I'm in the finishing stage. I plan on using tung oil, my question is what do I do after I appply the "oil" to make it pop? meaning wax, if so what kind of wax? fine sand paper, mesh? and also can I apply poly on top of the finish for added hardness. Thanks

I'm completing my first build (Carvin Kit) and I'm using tung oil for the finish. I'm using 0000 wool in between coats and I see that it leaves scratches on the bass body.. should I use something else? or when I put the other coats the scratches will not be seen? I'm curious to know what you...
