If you are to the point where you are counting pounds and ounces, you might want to find a local engineer who can take the equipment you have and try to shave off some pounds and ounces from what is stock. You could take the cabinet for the speaker and use thinner plywoods and some other tricks...

I totally agree. Beatles are iconic. However, not quite my cup of tea. I prefer fatter bottom end, and something more straight up blues based in my rock.

Not at all. I also don't put up science posters on the walls. I put up music and stuff I am interested in. I tell them they look at the walls an hour a day, I look at them 8,9 hours a day. I decorate for me, not for them.

Is there a website somewhere where I can learn about the technical details of the 70's SVT? When I bought mine, the guy said it was a "V9" and then explained what this meant, but I forgot what he said. My standby switch is on the back of it, and I think that had something to do with it.
