After using this for a few weeks now, I would say that my one and only issue with the BB is output... I find that with the eq flat (at noon) and relatively low gain (10-11) I'm only just hitting unity with the level on full. I do have to add in some eq to give it a boost, but there are times...

I'm finding that I'm getting my favourite sounds by cranking the eq, both treble and bass between 2-3 o'clock, and keeping the gain around noon. I'm still amazed by how much low-end you can add on this, and how clear and tight the bass remains. Love the frequency and cut of the treble too...

No offense at all buddy! It was pure intrigue...I'm a RAT man at heart anyway, and have a Stingray and Jazz so I won't get any closer! ;) I'll use this to back up my COG Effects RAT Clone for high-gain, and I am certain it will do exactly what I require (i.e. more The Jesus Lizard than Muse!...)...

This is definitely the case, everyone (including Chris Wolstenholme) has some sort of clean blend running with the Animato, and TB member Kaputsport did a few YouTube videos of his blended by Boss LS-2. The Animato has a very specific nasal, mid-range "Buzzsaw" tone though, less brittle than...

What are your settings on that last (Voivod) riff btw?

Ahh, thanks very much for doing this catgut! Does sound pretty close, gotta admit...I've put my order in anyway. I'm sure it'll do what I want from the sounds of it, but even if it doesn't I'm confident I won't have a problem moving it on! Thanks for your help! Al

I know it's pretty annoying to ask, but anyone know if I can get an nasally-Human Gear Animato-type sound out of the BB? I've had a Rat Tail and currently have a COG Effects RAT clone, but still chasing that Animato tone (without having to buy an Animato!)...
