I Present the IdiotBox Effects's Blower Box

Ordered my blower box last week and have yet to get shipping confirmation. Wonder if matt is sold out. If so, good for him!

I also second the motion for a two channel Blower Box!

I'm thinking about picking up the dungeon master to replace my ailing MIJ HM-2. The DM sounds like an HM-2 with more gain on tap. Any relation?

As far as I could tell, if he's not in stock, you can't order. The first time I looked at getting one, they were listed as sold out, and came available for purchase once the next batch were finished.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!

So I was speaking to Matt a little bit this morning. I had emailed him yesterday and requested something of him. he responded today and said that he would try my request and was pretty confident he could do it. But it is going to take some time as he is a very busy man and has a lot on his plate. I told him it wasnt a problem at all and that I am in no rush to get the pedal he will be building. Im so stoked!! I wont say what it is until I know its almost complete or in my hands, but knowing Matt and the way he builds things, this is gonna rip and rock a**es!

I also inquired about him modding the BB to have a second dist channel. He still hasnt gotten back to me on that but I just asked him this morning. I will let you guys know what he says when I know :D

Already had a Turbo Rat on the board. This thing fixes everything I didn't like about it... namely, the low end loss and lack of bite. Basically you can get the Rat sound, but there's way more bass on tap (and not just a low eq boost... a little hard to describe what's happening) as well as having less distortion as an option and a touch more brightness to get all those overtones out. It's not the most over-the-top distortion pedal ever, but it is one of the most musical, useful, and heavy distortion pedals I've ever heard.

I ordered a BB and I wait for the shipping confirmation
As I am very happy with Blasteroid Fuzz and DeathRay Frequency Mangler, I did not hesitate one second to order the BB when I read all your very positive reviews of this beautiful Rat for bass.

I am also languishing to be able to order Static Fuzz. The video of demonstration with a guitar is very convincing, and I hope, that following the example of Blasteroid Fuzz, this Static Fuzz will be also effective with the bass .( no low-end loss )

Thanks for that. I have not heard other rat pedals so happy someone that has likes this one. It's flexible for sure.

I've used an original Rat, Turbo Rat, Juggernaut, Rat Tail, Gojira Heretic and probably a couple others I'm forgetting, and it's my favourite Rat-based pedal yet. So versatile for what can be a limited distortion.

Had an L2000 delivered today, looking forward to trying the BB with an active bass. Only used it with Passive Ps so far

I agree hank. The proco turned me off of rat dist for a while. Then I got a rat king and I started liking rat type dist again. But man, when I plugged that BB in, I was literally blown away. Made me fall in love with the rat circuit. It's like supertbass said in the coming and going thread, that bass knob is pure magic. And the low gain is really nice all the way to the skin off your b**ls raunch. I can't wait till Matt gets back to me about the second dist channel mod and if it's possible.

It is great on actives. I am convinced it is better than my small box lm308 that I have used since 1990. At least with my Mesa. The small box was pretty stellar with SVT's back then. The Mesa bled the bass dry. Then I found this baby. Probably not going back.
