I Present the IdiotBox Effects's Blower Box

Damn you guys! I want this I just can't bring myself to knock my RK off my board just yet. Its still too new for me, I have only had it since Christmas.

I have to say it, IMO, the BB blows the RK away man. Blows it away. It's got authority that I found in the RK that I thought was in the RK. Until I played the BB. I want to play through my BB every day. I also can't say that about my RK. No offense at all the fuzzrocious. But man. Blows it away. IMO.

just wish I could try it on my board first just so I know its everything I want it to be.

Totally different really, the BB can get very saturated but I think it sounds unusable for me with the gain up too high, whereas those others you mention sound great at full tilt. Sounds best at low-med gain as an aggressive distortion IMHO (which is where the muff clones sound dull and lifeless!).

The advantage the RK has over the BB is the switchable 2nd gain control. Man, would this pedal be damn near perfect with that.

I totally agree. Some of us commented on that earlier in the thread. Reason being, for me anyway, is that the BB excels in low gain and mid to higher gain dist. It would be the bees knees to get a second dist channel in this guy. Honestly, I bet if I inquired about it, Matt may be able to mod it. There still plenty o room in the box and looking at the inside of the RK, there's some room to spare. I think it would be doable. Maybe I'm wrong though. I should email Matt and see what he thinks.

Don't forget the feedback mod! I think that is one of the reasons I haven't bit the bullet yet. I like making noise.

Adding a feedback loop should be be a piece of cake anyway - I've done it to my BBM, I imagine it's much the same for a RAT circuit - just put solder two wires to the right place and hook them up to a switch. It sounds awesome on a muff, not tried it on a RAT before. I might have to look into this!

I could do without the feedback loop. It is fun to play with, but I never found an application for it. But I never used it much live. I could do without it.

I have found some good uses for it. I can run it with my ring mod, phaser, or tremolo and since my feedback switch is latching I am able to do self oscillations that sound pretty awesome. My band likes to mess around with making noise so it is pretty useful for me.

Ordered my blower box last week and have yet to get shipping confirmation. Wonder if matt is sold out. If so, good for him!

I also second the motion for a two channel Blower Box!

I'm thinking about picking up the dungeon master to replace my ailing MIJ HM-2. The DM sounds like an HM-2 with more gain on tap. Any relation?
