tried sanding, but resulted in sanding the surface on a weird slant making it worse, tried the band saw jig and resulted in very poorly cut angles, nothing seems to work for me, thanks for the support though, the router ramp was my original idea but I just don't have spare wood laying around...

had the rack mount BBE, I didn't like it. Worked for my crappy ampeg rig, but when I upgraded to a powerful rig it made my sound sound terrible, so I took it out of the loop and now it sounds way better without it, I found the BBE added way to much bass to the sound drowning out any possible...

also, I just got my nut in and it seems like its a guitar nut cause apparently Stewmac doesn't sell bass nuts, if the nut is thinner then a usual bass nut will that be a problem?

I disagree with that, you would still have to tune your E to D, even with a 5 string, I know it seems redundant, but alot of songs require you to play an open D instead of a fretted D on the B string causing your hand to be stuck and not move freely when your jumping from high notes and chugging...

because it makes playing certain riffs easier at fast speeds, and its for metal, most metal play tuned down cause its a heavier sound. I don't see why people SHOULDN'T tune down, this thread dosn't make sense, didn't know tuning from E to D would complex someone so much
