What specifically is the modern jazz upright tone? Can you guys link me any songs, so I can listen

I will be using it on a Ibanez srh500, with only piezo pickups. You guys seems to favour nylon tapewound over flatwounds for my use? I can get labella black nylon tape wounds here pretty easily. But only in light gauge. Will light gauge make it brighter and less of and upright tone?

So guys, for this kind of bass tone I only piezo yes? No need for magnetic? And Im not sure if should go for nylon tape wound or nylon flat wounds. And I assume I want heavy gauge?

Yep, that's a nice sound! I read a lot of info about mutes and fretless for this sound. Not many seem to talk about amps. Are they not that important for sound? On guitar amp is the biggest factor of tone
