Are these emg 45 shape?

One thing to check is the possibility of the potentiometer getting shorted against the shielding of the bass control cavity. Some pots sit deeper into the mounting hole and end up shorted.

I have the original bridge. The holes have been filled and 're drilled. It would be easy to reinstall the original bridge.
