    gk 410sbx vs. 410rbh

i've the same inquiry, only rbx vs sbx, i've got the sbx and believe i'm lacking the sounds that a ported cabinet can deliver. rbh is too expensive for me now, but wondering the best way to achieve that ported tone to go with an sbx 410 that is pretty darn good. to answer your question.... no

i've played ampeg several times and love the tone, it was a "perceived" quality issue that i couldn't get passed. the pro series was out of the budget. i am very happy with the gk and will likely look for a ported cab (the sbx isn't) and that will make it perfect, i will probably entertain a 2...

    Scenario 2, Carvin, Peavey, Hartke

O.K. So it is clear that during the last post for the 1K amp, GK 1001rbii is clearly the most recommended, let's say due to budget constraints i want to cut back to $700 or less. Carvin BX1200, Peavey Tour 700, Hartke LH1000. Tonally I like neutral and an amp that really controls the speaker...

this has been great, i'm also checking other threads and the Carvin interests me, although i have no experience with them or do i know anyone who has so the more info the better anyone know how to erase that other thread i started (like a moron i am)

cabinets are going to be another issue, the guy i deal with has the three mfg, the dealer closest to me has all kinds but fails to realize that in order to sell, it has to be priced right (he's the guy with SWR). good friend of mine uses swr cabinets

i'm going with the power based on my dealer's recommendations and what i believe to be a wiser decision over the long run. i trust this guy and he's never steered me wrong. he recommends the gk over the other two brands for sure with traynor being 2nd. i want the amp that best controls...

i wasn't too bright when i started (new to the forum and a little to impatient) i apologize

    advice pls

i kinda screwed up and i've got two threads going (new to this forum, and i wasn't patient...sorry). i'm overdoing it based on my actual situation, but i'm not wanting to find myself in a position that i'll have to upgrade. i'll just be practicing and maybe doing the pub scene eventually, a 200W...
