My 1st bass I got about 1-2 months ago is a Fender Squier Affinity Jazz Bass. Haven't changed anything on it yet. It's the first and only bass I've ever played. I feel an addiction coming on though so I'll end up with a few different basses :D

Ok guys & girls I'm a newbie here and seeing things such as string tension/pressure I'm getting a little lost on strings. Also the scale length. Buying guitar strings I didn't see this kinda stuff. Mostly just the gauges. Can I get some help here with this?

Found it by searching for bass tabs/how-to stuff for beginner bassist's. It was for the first site to pop up so I checked it out. After about I'd say 30 seconds of looking around I signed up! So much information here it's unreal!
