So...how many of us played Jaco's Amerika this weekend? You take an awesome, short, bass piece with patriotic connotations and mix in America's Independence holiday. Seems like a good combination. Here's Invalid Link Removed :)

Take an extra strap, an extra bass or at least some strings and an extra instrument cable. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it! Drink plenty of water, take a nervous pee before hand and go have fun. And remember to post photos so we can share in your triumph!

Our 2011 One City World Tour kicks off tomorrow with an open air 2 hour set and a massive firework display immediately after. We're presenting a blend of covers and originals and should kick some serious ass.

What's worse is when your bass isn't around and you resort to Air Bass. Now THAT's humiliating. Believe me, I know by personal experience!

Just a quick question regarding a new B600H and gain. I've always adjusted gain on my old Fender Bassman until it started to clip and then fiddled with the master volume. On my 600H, it doesn't clip with my Ibanez 5 string until the gain is maxed. Is this a problem? I'm thinking no, since gain...

I prefer not to slap (and I was never any good at it), so a 5-string was a perfect fit for me. It opens up the fretboard (the biggest bonus for me is the ability to run two octave scales in the same position) and string crossing is easier, although not at first. It takes some time getting used...

I've got the B600H and the Line 6 Bass Floor Pod. It gives me the Low Down tones with the richness of the acoustic. Line 6 has the best modeling I've seen!

I've only had it a few days, but Roy Vogt's Teach Me Bass Guitar course would probably serve you really well. I'm not a beginner, but it covers the basics and has stuff for intermediate and advanced players as well. Check it out, and Roy is on here from time to time.
