just got a b200h todayanyone know how this would sound or hold up with 410 + 115?
I've got a neighbor with that combo, and Acoustic says the following:
So - it can go down to 4 Ohms.
It should sound pretty much like my B450 with that combo on it too. I like it.
Just a quick question regarding a new B600H and gain. I've always adjusted gain on my old Fender Bassman until it started to clip and then fiddled with the master volume. On my 600H, it doesn't clip with my Ibanez 5 string until the gain is maxed. Is this a problem? I'm thinking no, since gain is just the signal strength being fed into the amplifier. But I don't want to blow a speaker or overheat this pig...
Been told that clipping isn't going to hurt the amp and you'll get a certain amount of overdrive that way. I dunnow - I just don't need to go that far and don't.
I've only seen the clip light come on a few times, and that was only with my active bass running max volume from it, never the passive.
But again, I've been told that it's OK and even preferred by some players and the amp is made to handle it OK.

By the way, I just added a B115 to my set up today! It rounds out the bottom end and fattens the mids. I love it!
OK. I have an Acoustic 360 that I bought 2nd hand back in 1979. Was setting for a decade or so. Fired it up... it was a little buzzy. Got it Repaired. it Sounds GREAT now.
Using it to drive a Crown K1. works pretty well. Just need better cabs. thing is .. I want to stick it in a rackmount chassis and use it that way. I added a direct out back in the 80's and thats pretty much the only mod ever done to it. The only thing i Intend to change now will be removing the normal ac cable and replacing it with a Socket that i can Use a Computer type Power cable with it. as this will be rack mounted , this makes sense to me.
Does anyone think this will make it no longer an acoustic 360?

just joined the club... well got 2 acoustic b410 cabs march 1.... got one blown and now i get to see how good the customer service is Mon morning... also just got me an old vintage acoustic 406 cab with no speakers... will be posting pics of rig soon... and I WILL fill you in on the 3 yr limited warranty that acoustic offers on its new gear.....

I had an 'issue' too with my B-450 and 2-10 inchers. The spades were loose and rattled, making and breaking contact to the frequency I hit.
You may NOT have a blown speaker or two either! I had contact problems that I fixed myself. I can sure SOUND blown - but may not be!
However (what follows is an opinion without prejudiced - for the lawyers out there)
The Acoustic people are just a warehouse and a shipping dock so I doubt seriously that you'll get a human response from them - I didn't. They don't appear to have parts, don't care or even answer the phone (which by now they have totally disconnected when I accidentally got through and got put on terminal hold).
Their weasel words were: "Send it back and we'll take a look at it". Uh huh.
I want to get the same parts that were not good enough to work the first time re-installed a second time? I think not.
They will prolly tell you you've violated the terms of the guaranty by taking the driver out in the first place. The opinion I have of them is they are slimy and slither sideways to keep from looking people in the eye - I can tell.
Their amps are good - powerful and a righteously good price.
Just don't expect humans who care on the other end of a call or email.
If I wuz you - I'd drag it into GC and let them handle it - they seem to care about service-after-sales on these products, since they are part of the GC corporate badge anyway.
Just my opinion.
Late-ish, but verifying that this is the way to go, especially if you're on good terms with your local GC...rumor has it that they can replace it right there in the store, or so I'm told by one who knows.
Hey all, just picked up an Acoustic 140 head and I love it so far (although I only got to play guitar through it so far). I'd like to get an efficient cab for it that can get the most power out of it. Anyone have any recs for speakers and cabs? I'd like an Acoustic of some sort, but I don't think I'd be able to find one here, so suggest anything. I would prefer something on the smaller end - a single 15" or something similar to that size. Thanks.

I bought these cabs and amp about a year and a half ago and they are still going strong, love the tone this setup produces. i play with a peavey millenium 4 bxp ac with flatwounds and my Ibanez Srx 400 with DR hi-beams. both basses sound amazing thru this rig.
