Been a while since I posted in the thread - thought I'd post a pic. Played many gigs on my Acoustic rig - it's still treating me right & with tone to boot.
I'm not sure if what you suggested will work*, but I have to ask - what do you mean, the lid is gone? Where'd it go? - edit to say that I'm not trying to be a jerk or something...I'm honestly curious.
* this would be a good time to find a good guitar shop that specializes in repair rather than sales...most every town's got one somewhere, unless you live in the middle of Montana or something...
Well Brian I was hoping Acoustic would come out with a 210 to match the cabinet size of the B115 non neo cabinet and the price range. Looks like I'll just have to add that second B115 cabinet sometime in the future. Although I haven't yet had the need for it. The 275 watts of the B600H in our club is more than plenty into that cabinet.
Finally getting a chance to say thank you all who have posted on this thread. Now I own a b115 and it sounds great. Love the lows off it.
That out of the way I'm completely new to bass about a month into learning/owning is it normal to have a much quieter d and g string on the fact of the 15" speaker? I haven't gone though the first 1k threads takes time away from learning and practicing so if it been answered give me the search answer and I'm fine.

This is why I lucked out buying the B-450 with the 2-10s and a horn. It perfectly works with my B-115, as one carries the highs and one fills the lows.
I only added the B-410 afterwards and loved it too, but then I got the B-810 and with the B-450 and the B-410 and the B-810 all hot and running together I have a total of 14-10 inchers and 3 Piezzos. That combo takes me to 2.67 Ohms, and that's the lowest I want to go with the 2 Ohm capacity of the amp in the combo; each additional cab is 8 Ohms from the factory.
What I really like is to use the B-450, the B-810 and then add the B-115 as that really fills the open air venues I work. The B-450 sits on top of the B-115 and the B-810 stands right next to them.
FWIW: the B-450 is the same dimensions as the Neo cabs and the non-Neos are all the same size as your B-115. .
Anyone have experience with using a b115 with the hartke lh 500 or the orange bass terror? I have seen a youtube clip of the bass terror and love the sound. And people on TB really speak highly of the hartke's. My sovtek is borrowed (dad is a drummer and has it because he sold his 59bassman and regrets it) also I'm starting to look for something more powerful. I'm still in the massive learning curve and experimentation phase but any input would be great.
Brian from Acoustic had posted about the 210 coming out. I put the quote below. I had actually waited for it a long time after Ed O had posted that it was coming. All I can say is that the neo 210 was an exceptional disapointment. I wound up getting a used Ampeg SVT210 for half the price. Review is below.
An extension cab for the 450 with the regualr speakers at an affordable price would be a great idea though.

Of course, I didn't find anything in a search (at least of this thread); I have the B200H and I'm starting to wish I had just gone with the 600 since you can defeat the notch filter. Not that I don't want to use the notch, but there is no indication of what it's actually doing to the signal. No idea of what is cutting/boosting/scooping. There's nothing in the manual and I haven't found anything online. It's fine when you're dialing in in the rehearsal studio, but when I've got minimal time during a soundcheck (or lack thereof), I'd really like to have an idea of what positions represent what kind of frequency change.
Anyone have any idea where I can find a "guide" on this or even just tell me, generally what knob range=what curve? I would sure greatly appreciate any help with this.

I've only been playing a bit over a year and I dont play much beyond the basement or buddies garage, but my Behringer practice amp finally became the weak link in my rig. Up until recently it was me
I dont have a cab, to pair it with, so I am looking there as well.
Currently I'm thinking of ordering a Avatar Neo 1x12, or maybe 2x10.
Anyone have any experience with this pairing? Or advice?
I'm in Canada, so Acoustic products are not available here and have to be shipped in from the US, so those aren't really an option.
So are Avatars, but the shipping is a lot more merciful, and I really like what I hear about them.
Maybe a G&K cab, 1x12 or 2x10?
I'd prefer to get more of "vintage" tone as opposed to modern sound.
Again my playing will be strictly recreational. With the power of this head, I stand 0 chance of being drowned out by my current "Joe's Garage" crew

I think it's supposed to be used as an overall EQ for final tone shaping...twiddle it until it sounds good.
Right, but that's the problem; it's fine at home or in the rehearsal space, but on stage in a new room with no time for twiddling and listening I'd like to be able to adjust more or less of a certain freq. on the fly, ya know? Just wanna know what's what instead of looking at nondescript lines around a knob.
When I have my B-450 (which is a B-600 amp) notch filter engaged and want to set it to the freq I want to minimize, I just hit that note and then turn the knob to the spot where I hear the difference in the note I'm playing.
It takes the boom-iness out of notes in a certain freq range and it's good if you have a wall that's bouncing a frequency back at you and just amplifying it or doubling it up and making it too dominant in your playing.
When you turn the adjustment both ways, you'll hear it scoop the freq out and reduce it's impact - as you go into and out of the sweet spot where that particular desired freq sounds off.
That's what I do - it works for me. But then again, I can switch the notch on or off too.

I got a few angry PMs from people calling me out on the statement I made about the B-450 having
a B-600 amp inside it.

Nice pictures. The B450 (even without the picture) is definitely the B600. In the product description it says that the B450 goes to 600W at 2ohms, just like the (dun dun dun!) B600. I'm really surprised you got nastygrams over something that I thought was common knowledge.
