Warwick Strings - lots of options!

Anyone else experiencing dead on arrival black label b-strings? I have bought black labels several times, but the last 2 sets I bought had B's that had absolutely no snap to them at all, rest of the strings being fine.

Early 89-90 Warwick thumb bass question

That looks like a very early mec preamp to me. My all original, late 89 thumb has Barts/Mec too although the preamp being a little different with a trim pot and a push/pull pot.

    I need an advice

There are many options for you to choose from. Ibanez and LTD makes great instruments with tight string spacing practically in every price range. I'd recommend keeping eye on the used market for Warwick rockbasses too, since they aren't too heavy neither are they limited in setup possibilities.

What are your views towards Ibanez and Yamaha?

My Ibanez SR Premium is a great bass. Even if compared to my Warwick Thumb NT! The wenge neck is so damn smooth yet feels solid. I was sorely dissapointed with a japanese Yamaha TRB, but the quality for the buck is great.

    Bartolini Quad Coil Wiring

They should be these according whats written in the back of the pickups: Invalid Link Removed They have 4 wires but are from the 80's so I wouldn't be surprised if they changed the design a little. So anyhow is it possible to wire these pickups as single coils if they're indeed dual coils? Or as...

    Bartolini Quad Coil Wiring

I wanted to try split coil wirings on my Warwick with Bartolini PS46C pickups. I detached the black and white wires from the bridge pickup and it went completely silent until I soldered them back. I had no clue that all of the 4 wires had to be connected for the pickup to work. So what should i...

GAS free guide to Bass purchasing

I dont understand why it has to be a Fender P. Sure they are reliable and work well in most situations but there are copies that can do the P sound as good as any Fender and far more. You don't need a Fender P. It is just the easiest way around.
