I bought a used Eden 1x15 and it took me 6 months to find the empty water bottle stuck in the rear port!

A shot of Electrical Grade Silicone spray should make your cord much easier to remove and install, as well as improving the electrical connection. I use CRC brand, available at Home Depot.

+ 1 on making sure that the bend is sharp over the bridge. I would recommend turning down the tone pump to where you had it with the old string set and (them tone pumps are strong) and setting volume through your amp. I think that the B string may be "farting out" under all the pre amp power.

As someone afflicted with GAS, I guess the worst reason I have ever used to buy a bass was that I convinced myself that I would practice more.

I was about 10 when I touched my first bass. I had a immediate attraction to the way that the instrument felt, the fat strings, and powerful sound. It would be another 5 years before I started playing (another story), but I always knew what instrument I was drawn to.
