I agree with Dave 100%. Wood knobs are part of a BN5's essence. Yes, metal or aluminum knobs look and work just fine, but as with all boutique instruments, there is something special about the small details with F Basses. I know opinions vary, but it's hard to dispute that anything else looks...

Single H Stingray 5s are the ultimate workhorse basses, but with the Dargie Delight II treatment, this SR5 has become an absolute boutique bass killer in every respect. GLWS!

This new generation of premium SR5s with black hardware and roasted necks really take the Stingray 5 concept to the next level. The ebony fretboard with blocks, world class in every way. Truly, this is the most impressive SR5 I have ever seen.

The Forte I am using, consistently runs warm to the touch. I have heard the fan come on periodically, but the amp always feels warm regardless of the fan. Is this normal for this head? I have only used it without speakers so far, DI out into an audio interface/DAW. Thx.

Lakland 5s are as versatile and dependable as one could ever want and need, the 55-94 is what US build quality is all about. This is almost 55-02 money for a 55-94, how is this still for sale?
