    Funk + Country = Funktry?

Check out JJ Cale, in particular a song called "My Gal". Also, not so much of the funk, but if you're into pickin check out Chet Atkins. -Johnny

Rob (zodiakironfist) involved in YouTube/UMG/Warner tirade!

I'm no lawyer, but wouldn't that be a violation of fair use? The only argument I can really see them making is that he's using the original artist's material in the video if he's playing along to the song(s).

    The Acoustic Club

Got a chance to stop by the local GC today after work and test out the new wares. I'm looking to replace my practice amp because the one I use currently(Peavey Max126) fuzzes really badly on the low notes(which is very annoying), bear in mind this occurs even at relatively low volumes. I...

It doesn't seem to have been asked so, what cab are you using? -Johnny

The coolest big band you've ever listened to?

I'm not really sure what I'd call that, but I wouldn't call it big band. The horns have more of a fast blues feel. The guitars sound like they're playing some rock riffs to the bass laying down a funk line. It's not bad, but it's definitely different. To be honest it sounds like sound track...

    Misconstrued Lyrics!

    Common amp myths

The short answer would be no. If anything the drop in current(amperage) required to maintain the same wattage at a higher voltage would most likely be percieved as a drop in sound level. -Johnny
