Top 10 bass FX of all time?

Yes! I was about to cry that nobody had said this yet. In this order, for me at least 1. Moogerfooger LPF 2. Akai Deep Impact 3. Boss OC2 ... (bit of a drop down) 4. Lovetone Meatball 5. Moogerfooger Freqbox ... (significant drop down) 6. Soundblox Multiwave Bass Distortion Pro 7. Delay, DD7...

    Dealing with Gear Nazis

You could just be honest with the person and say you aren't much into the gear side of things. Or, yes, any number of clever lies could be cooked up. I did like yours, I thought it was humorous - that you weren't really a bassist. I for one love to talk with my bass-gear-loving brethren, one of...

FS Only: Markbass Supersynth Synth Pedal

I was asking because after listening to sound clips of the Supersynth my thoughts were the pedals seemed very similar in design, using presets that users can edit and save and being able to cycle through them, but I thought that the raw sounds coming from the DI were fuller, richer and just had...

    FT: Robot factory meatwad

I feel like i should say that despite my positive review of the pedal, it's not a box to try and get multiple different sounds from, I'll explain. I pretty much use my meatwad for one sound, and i keep two other envelopes on my board at all times to fill in the gaps. Like people have said, its...

    FT: Robot factory meatwad

Don't be concerned that its not a quality pedal. Its very high quality, i've owned mine for 3 years now. However, just like a few posters before me have noted, it is a pedal with a very high learning curve. You really have to tweak it and massage it. I won't be getting rid of mine any time soon...

FS Only: Markbass Supersynth Synth Pedal

I'm not trying to start a flame war, but when you say its on par with the deep impact, do you have experience with one?

The best bass multi effects RACK

I would try these 4. Eventide is great, if not super expensive. Lexicon and TC are more reasonably priced. Line 6 is always good.

    Best octaver

I'm not sure i follow. You mean if you go 100% wet mix, and use octave down its good?

    Best octaver

Anybody have anything to say about the Ebs Octabass?

    Reverb Decision

Silky, Its interesting that the verb was applied to your low end, I'd like to try and keep it off the lows because that's what I perceive as muddy. I'm thinking about using a crossover or a highpass filter to isolate the highs, and verb those freq's.

    Reverb Decision

That sounds cool silky. I've been messing with that same idea of splitting the signal and only verbing part of it for my live rig. Any chance of a hearing a snippet of that recording you were talking about?

    Trade-in Value Approximation?

Try ebay before going to gc. Gc lied to my face on my last trade in. "We can only offer you $450 for that bass, man, sorry. We can only sell it for $600." 2 days later it was up for $750, and the next day it was gone.

Got $400 to spend only at GC - Gas'ing for M13

My boutique peds would revolt, it might not be pretty..:hiding:

    Best octaver

Im in the midst of a similar quest for octavation. Did you look at the Ebs Octabass? I was looking at that some, would be interested in hearing how you thought it stacked up against those other peds you mentioned.
