I sometimes can't sleep and my Fender VB ABG is the best way to settle me down - having said that Fender have stopped making them and I have only just found a luthier smart enough to sort out the issues I have with its neck. Love the option of an ABG - plugged or unplugged!

I have a through body P Bass and haven't been able to find any tapered strings in Jakarta to replace the set it came with - but I thought that the point was that the tapered strings used with through body which gives you better lower tones? Should I just restring it with some Rotasounds?

Thanks saved me a wasting time modifying my lovely NOS H'way One with its old style bridge - love this bass for its funky sound and light weight: less than 3.5 kg (or around 7 1/2 lbs) compared to most Fenders which come in at over 9 lbs.
