When I play a riff and it moves on to something else, or when I have a repeating riff, my plucking fingers want to restart back to the index finger like they want to be coordinated with my fretting hand. This seems to be the case wether I'm plucking with 2,3,or 4 fingers. Am I supposed to...

if you are playing a gig for drinks, or for a few hundred bucks, I dont see the need. But If you are serious, playing out as much as possible, and really have the need for your gigs to go super smooth no matter what, then the more gear the better

Sounds to me like all those problems stem from simply going too fast for yourself. Slow it down and work your way up.

Any raw wood will change in some manner, unless you keep it in a humidor. Gotta put something on it. A small piece like that, soak it in tung oil for a bit, and be done with it.

I find it nice when I'm doing hand exercises on the bass. Hands start to burn, get on the comp and read up until the hands are ready to go again.

one way to put it, is that locking in with the drummer kind of means that you are almost a second drumline to compliment his. That helped me to understand it better.

In northeast connecticut, it seems like most of the bands at the bars on sat night just plain count on everyone being drunk.

Ok, makes sense now. I was thinking it had something to do with training:D we practice at the lowest volume possible; just bringing everything up to the drums. Being an avid shooter, our sound isnt even close to that.
