Is it just me or are all bass players like this?

I have played in the same band with the same guys for 12 years now. The lead singer has a wireless Shure microphone. Has never once had a spare battery at the gig when his dies. What was your first bass guitar?

A 78 Fender Mustang! I'm guessing that it's worth at least $800.00 now. I believe I traded it for a Bassballs pedal because I already had my new bass, an Ovation Magnum!

    Fender acoustic bass guitars!

Just picked up a Fender BG31-CAR 3 weeks ago and have not put it down since. I previously owned an Ibanez acoustic. The Fender is a much better bass. If you get one, make sure to pick up the rubber hole stopper upper. It will keep the feedback at bay when you plug it it.

EMG Jazz Pickup = weird finger noise???

I have a Heartfield Prophecy II and I've "heard" that they used EMG's in the original build. But the finger noise you describe is present in my stock version as well. I know exactly what you are hearing.

Is it just me or are all bass players like this?

I think by nature a bassist is a supporting role provided by a supportive person. Someone that cares to help others with their difficulties musically, technically, etc. I would love to see a psychological test set up to gauge the mental profile of bass players, drummers, guitar players, keys...
