I know this is an old thread but... i just installed a CS62 on my Sire P5R which was previously equipped with an ORI62... as in the clips they sound similar but CS62 has the lows the ORI62 was missing and the highs the PV63 was missing. Best of both world.

That's actually how i played it when installed it. Trying to have the same volume as my other basses. I also play with flats so that might tame the agressive sound a bit. IDK. Actually,I don't find them agressive at all. Even at full volume. It is strung with TI flats at the moment... sounds...

Hey thanks for the tip and the link. It's just for trying it out. To see if I can ear any difference between the two bridges and to have some fun moding a bass. Just an experiment really

I was also considering changing the bridge to something like a Wilkinson ( not high mass ) with brass saddles... which i'm gessing might not be a direct fit... thank for all the info. Def useful :)
