The drilling idea may be a good choice.. It's always been strange to me that a rack mountable head would have side mounted fans. I am quite sure they do require the cable... ill have to be sure he's got the cable.

I'd be putting it in this rack... Basically your standard ATA style flight case... I'd assume this should be fine? Also anything I should know about running in to a single 610 or 810 in regards to the back panel?
