OP, this looks very modern and sturdy. I like it. Would it be possible to rotate the wood base 180 degrees? The idea would be to have a cab sit on top of the wooden base with the stand (and bass) off to the side of the cab.

I never had block inlays in all my years of basses. It wasn't until I ordered and built my 2nd Warmoth project that I decided to go for blocks. Not gigged yet but I am very happy with the result.

I just put together a new Warmoth project where I used a roasted swamp ash body and roasted flame maple neck. I asked for a light weight body so I can't comment on how the roasting effects weight. The bass weighs 8 pounds. My previous Warmoth bass weights 10.5 pounds. Both pictured below.

Beautiful bass. Very nice. I just received all the parts for my next Warmoth project - and this time I’ll be putting it together myself, and, truthfully, I’m both excited and a little apprehensive. Hoping it turns out as nice as yours. Minus one string of course :laugh:

I second iiipopes comment on Scott Whitley... And I strongly agree with and second ardgedee comment on Warmoth... My main bass is a Warmoth and I'm just starte building my second Warmoth project.

Sorry if this is the wrong direction but do you line out to the FOH? If so, use the FOH board with phantom power to drive the RNDI. That is what I do and I run the input to my amp from the RNDI as well. From the rupertneve site...

I agree with others and ezstep... For me, it was only playing the 5 string and don't fall back to the 4 string because it feels familiar.....at rehearsals, solo practice, and all gigs. It might be a little ruff at first but you'll be forced to adapt and adjust.

OP.....I made the move to a 5 string after 10 years on various 4 strings. It took me 3 or 4 years before 5 strings felt normal. But then again, it depends on what you mean by "adapt". For me, being able to play songs correctly on a 5 string happened pretty quick - after a month or two of...

Very nice build and excellent post(s). I too had a Warmoth project built 20+ years ago and I'm currently in the middle of having my second Warmoth project built. Your posts almost make me want to attempt the build myself. Almost. Congrats again.

I'll second ajkula66 comment about diet. Although diet won't cure it, the reduction of inflammation (and secondary weight loss) has been shown to have very positive effects. Ditto on ajkula66's disclaimer as well.
