I have to completely agree with dj150888 those are necessities. If you have some fans that will periodically visit your site, then I would try to make something that lets you communicate with the fans, if you can chat with your fans then you'll always have long-time fans.

I use two for almost everything, but I am starting to learn to use three fingers. I occasionally use a pick but only when needed.

I don't know if anyone else suggested this but N.I.B. by Black Sabbath is an epic song. The bass solo in the beginning and than it starts to fade out, than the bass comes in ago all distorted. When I first heard that song, I was awe struck.

My teacher always reminds me that root - fifths are the most important tool bassists have in their mental "tool box". And I would like to know if there is anything else as important as a root - fifth in writing good bass lines?
