Im looking to replace the pickups in my 60s sonic blue CV with the one's that come in the Matt Freeman CV or 70s cv. Question is, are the MF pickups the same as the ones that are in the "70s" CV? (the black one one w/maple neck and block inlays) Can anyone confirm this? I found a couple pair...

70s classic vibe or a Matt Freeman, they are unbelievably great basses and esp for the price... oh yea, get another bass:D

awesome thanks for the tip..I wasn't too concerned with "stiffness" of strings as much as I am the actual tension on the neck. Think I'm gonna look into the La Bella's and see how they are. Only rounds I normally run 45-105 so ill see if they have something a step down form that
