Honestly, both profiles feel about the same to me. My SR800 has a painted neck and the 300 is unfinished so 300 feels a bit smoother when sliding down the neck.

I have an early 90s MIJ SR800 and a newer (2020) SR300. Both stock. SR300 is very solid and I would keep it over the SR800 if I had to choose one. Took some fiddling and some string experimentation to find a feel and tone that worked for me with the SR300. Currently running with XL ProSteels.

I have both Rumble 40 and 100. I’ve used 40 in low volume setting and it works fine, but hits it’s upper limit quickly when pushed. I would recommend the 100 over the 40 any day if you are considering options beyond the 40 (I own 2).

I’ve gigged mine. Plays nice. Strung w Fender flats currently. Needed to lower the pickup to get decent tone. Great for the price.

I have a set of these on my Yamaha TRBX604 (came with the bass). They are ok, IMO. Don’t love them. Looking for something that are maybe a little less “sterile” sounding. Look cool though. 😀
