Why? There are some hidden spots in my car where a thief would never think to look, and a pretty basic feature, too.

Because if a thief decides to steal your bass, your phone/wallet just went with it. They're not going to leave the case behind.

Thanks for the heads-up on this deal, needed another for a couple new basses. I prefer a black case that vanishes when dropped behind cabs or whatever, but these are excellent cases and seriously discounted!

Arguably better than I have any need for, as I rarely play guitar outside of the home these days.

Seems to combine the best qualities of the Mono M80 and the ProTec Contego (both of which I already own for my basses). But if I ever find a need for yet another heavy-duty gig bag for bass, I wouldn't hestitate to get one of these Gator Icons

...in red, of course.

Gator makes the best bags, next to Roadrunner's Highway bags...blow overrated Mono out of the water.

I tend to prefer Reunion Blues, and for me, Gator runs a close 2nd, but it really depends on what features are most important. I agree that Mono seems a bit overrated.

I ordered 2 of the guitar version a few weeks ago. Saw they had the bass version 3 (?) days ago and slept on it. The guitar ones I got are VERY nice. I have some quality bass gig bags, but nothing with this much “structure” to it. It’s practically a hard case - but lighter, and you can wear it over your shoulder. Think I’ll grab the bass version too. Such a great grab & go case!

(and yes, rain cover is included!)

I bought the guitar version two weeks ago when *they* were MF’s SDOTD, and it did indeed come with the rain cover, so I’m assuming these will too.

Of course, now that I live in the desert that’ll NEVER get used, but it’s a lovely feature nonetheless.

Saw the deal early this morning and spent ALL day trying to talk myself out of it but decided it was too good of a deal to pass up. I honestly expected it to be sold out when I finally went back late afternoon to see if it was still there. It does say "limited availability" now though.

Update - yeah, the red is really red. But, this case is excellent. Well built, protects the bass, easy to carry. Has enough pockets and pouches for a Fly Rig, cables, extension cord, repair tools, extra shirt, etc. I should have purchased two...cheeseburger style!

Hoping the guitar version goes on clearance, because that would be perfect for my headless. If it doesn't soon I'll probably just get one at price.

They repeated the red guitar version. There has been other repeats, too.

I got mine a few days ago, this case weighs more than my than my sandberg ultralite. This case is crazy good for $100.
