The swollen pickle is louder and more aggressive. It can be tweaked from the inside. The MXR bass fuzz is lower and more classic sounding. Like 60s rock. They are both different enough to warrant their own place on the board. That's until the duality shows up.

MXR Bass effects impressing me? Hmmm, maybe just a little bit. Would also love to add a Darkglass Duality. One can never have too much fuzz ;)

After looking around online. I ended up contacting Fender directly. They still had 19 in stock at the time. This was about a year ago. Just throwing out there in case you still didn't find one yet. BTW, great combo .

I chased after the TB600 for over five years. Finally, one in mint condition entered my shop. Took her home and has made my other Fender and Ibanez basses sing. She sits beside my old and trusty B100r Rocket.

Hey man, thanks for the props. That is a Pedaltrain Pro GC exclusive in metal (aluminum) finish. I wish I had gotten the one with the Mono bag, but it drove the cost a little bit more than i wanted to pay. I still kept the PT1 for when I want to go smaller. And yeah, I love the OCD.

Totally love this pedal. IMO, it does not mess with your tone and gives you a different alternative to a Sansamp DI or MXR M80. So for the rock bass players I've shown this to love it. One of them wants to ditch his ODB3 for the BB-1x.

Ok, I couldn't resist. Finally decided to post my board. As you all can attest to. Boards are a labor of love and a constant work in progress. After a few years I went from a Boss BCB60>Pedaltrain PT1>my current PTPro. BTW, I'm currently using my MXR M80 (not pictured) instead of the Preamp M81.

Yes, I just got mine last week and it is IMO, worth the money. It retains the warmth of the old DM-2 along with the optional custom switch which takes you into a trippy direction. At on point we got that weird electromagnetic sound you hear in Tesla's "Edison's Medicine". My bass compadres...

+1 My 2008 Am Standard with Maple neck is amazing an is one of my main slappers. For me it has the perfect neck and balance. Only to be rivaled by my Music Man HH. Now I'm just waiting to see if we get in some of those new 2012s.
