I bought the Yamaha FC7 pedal to use with the B3. It is excellent, built like a tank, very responsive and won't kill your wallet.

    old Acoustic cabinet

I have an old Acoustic cab with 2x15 I boought in the mid 70's all original and working great. I want to use it with my new rig for more bottom end. I am running a Hartke lh1000 with a Hartke Hydrive 410. So here is the question what is the Acoustic need ohm wise to drive it. Even the Acoustic...

What amps were people playing in the 70's?

Kenny Allyn is right. In fact I kept my Peavey 300 Musician head and Acoustic 2x15 cab in great shape, that is the rig that makes my '67 Guild Starfire sound the best.

    Birds in the Cab

Dear Immigrant "YAHTZEE!" That is indeed what is happening the chirping occurs even when I am not playing anything through the system. Oddly enough I use AT&T. I will leave the phone out in the truck at the next practice and find out. The terms microphonic preamp tube and 12ax7 are dually...

    Birds in the Cab

The responses I have gotten so far have been greatly appreciated. I do own an I-Phone and will shut it down when I practice with the crew this week. You know "Always start with the cheapest fix first" All the fixes talked about will be tried and I will post again to give results.

    Birds in the Cab

I recently put together a rig and after about an hour or so of practice I end up with a bird chirping noise in the horn section of my cabinet. I have a Hartke LH1000 head paired up with a Ampeg SVT1000lh 4x10. I had a custom 4 string built with active emg jazz pickups and a 18 volt preamp built...

For controls it has two volume and 3 band eq. I have alway had an original Hagstrom pickup on my 67 Starfire, and it has been my only bass since 76. I'm thinking along the lines of single pole non humbucker. That is if that would work.
