    Lou Reed?

MMM is objectively some tough sledding. Unless you're the late Lester Bangs: https://carellaross.com/blogs/rantings-ravings/posts/6063917/lester-bangs-reviews-lou-reed-s-metal-machine-music

Any idea what this is worth? Found this on Facebook Marketplace and the seller doesn't have an idea of the value. Thanks

Took a few beats for light to dawn on Marblehead (as they say in these here parts) but very well played.

Does it feel weird seeing one of your old basses for sale?

Never had the experience but if I ever saw my first for sale (I'd know it), I'd pounce.

Are you picky about guitar (bass) stands?

    Hercules or stay home.

Why is Radiohead not as appealing to older people as Pink Floyd?

People like what they like, and don't like what they don't like. Twas ever thus.

    The Who fire Zac Starkey

No Viagra though! (His words, not mine. Philadelphia, 2020) You'd think a corporate band would use corporate-speak and say he's "pursuing other interests."

    James Brown vintage bass?

    Help my back

I'm a fan of chiropractic, but I'd say your job #1 is to get a definitive medical diagnosis. Job #2 (with physician OK) is core strengthening, which is a life's work. And +1 to all the other suggestions for comfort above, including dialing back meds.

How do you feel about having guests at rehearsals?

Usually no because I prefer to be strictly business (or close to it) at rehearsals. I've played with a geetarist (a very good one) who just can't resist wanky-wanky noodling between songs and it set my teeth on edge. Yeah, I'm a drag. If there are guests then I move we re-classify the...

    1099 question

I 1099ed for 20+ years. This is close to a nothing-burger; just declare the income and take the tax whack.

    Guild B302A

Ex-owner here: PG & knobs not original. For one thing the factory PGs were beveled such that the white middle layer is impossible to miss. Other than than, I see no issues. Stock bridge, stock tuners, etc.

    Insufferable Fans?

I'm glad I missed that point in time. What I like/dislike (and I don't dislike much in the grand scheme) has nothing to do with fans. They don't make the music, after all.

Potential problem with buyer; would like advice on how to proceed

The crux for me is, he declined your offer to try it out. If I was in the buyer's shoes, I'd tell myself, "Self, you numbskull, that's what you get for not doing your due diligence," and suck it up like a good buttercup. That's just the way I'm (forgive me) wired. But props to OP for...
