I've been using a B7k (low gain) as my always on pedal and a B3k as overdrive, love it. Just been offered another B7k v2.... Is it overkill B7k into B7k? Anyone rocking this?... Be nice to have Eq on my drive I guess.

This. I run a Sovtec deluxe fuzz into my b7k and its phenomenal. The Sovtec has semi para mids on it..... If you have board space I'd highly recommend it, my no 1 fuzz that has beaten off a lot of top draw ones

Tbf I think my ebs might have had the unity gain issue where the clean knob had to be cranked to get unity, so my comment of comparison isn't that fair I guess. Maybe a revisit to the ebs might change my mind?? Who knows?..... Either way the hyperdrive is killer

I had the ebs Billy sheehan deluxe (mk 2) last year and I don't think they are that similar imo... I found the ebs far more fizzy in comparison, more like the b3k. Much prefer the ashdown
