I have the Bass Soul Food on my board in front of the Tech 21 Bass Fly Rig....sounds great!

I can play a set of D'Addario EXL's for almost a year before they die...I have a friend who can kill a set in less than an hour. I don't let him play my basses anymore.

I don't like Chromes or Boomers...I use LaBella tapewounds on fretless and D'Addario roundwounds on everything else.

I was seriously considering a John Patittucci signature Yamaha several years ago, found one at a store in very good condition because the guy that bought it couldn't handle the string spacing or something so it hadn't been played much. The store employees would not let me play it at all, refused...

I play just about every week at a large church, we do use some computer/loops, which requires us to stay with a click. We have it set to a nice medium woodblock sound, so it's not annoying in your IEM. I just pretend that there's an invisible percussionist with perfect time playing with us.

I love my Bass Soul Food, gives me plenty of drive without being harsh.

My Squier Vintage Modified fretless Jazz neck has the structural rigidity of a half-cooked noodle...I pretty much have to give it a truss rod tweak one way or the other just about every time I play it in order to keep the action where I want it.
