Hipshots are laterally adjustable, got one on my rickenfaker, helps a lot with getting all the strings in the field of my tiny SD rickenpuppers.

I like to have a few around, as they're damn useful to ground yourself with while you're working inside your computer. Also my wife keeps finding ways of working them into art projects. Quite good for tying plants onto bamboo poles to.

Link Removed Me and my mean green P. Keep getting other basses and not liking them as much. It might be a fake, but I've had it 20 years, and nothing else seems to work quite like it. Fender 9050 flats, and not just cos the wraps match my green finish, no matter what my singer thinks.

On my fretless Jazz project that I've been tinkering with for ages, the pickups are practically on stilts as the gap between the top of the fingerboard and the body is huge, the bridge saddles are almost all the way up. Action feels great on it though, so I'm loath to do to much to change it...

None of my bass amps have frets, does that make them more valuable? ;)
