    Well thankfully there was no other vehicle involved. The accident happened because my friend was cut off and lost control of his car.

    Thank you everyone for your input. I don't think he has to worry about getting sued by the passengers in the car. I don't blame you are toasted for feeling this way. I do too, but on the other hand it's different when it's someone you know and consider a friend.
